Coincidentally, Gummiboot is a movie and Gummiboots are my favorite movie snacks. Like all the great gummi snacks, they were invented by Gunther Gummi. We owe him so much.
I’m fuckin’ witcha, of course. Gummiboot just means “rubber raft” (or literally “rubber boat”). An American comedy about river rafting, Up the Creek, is called Das Turbogeile Gummiboot in German. (Remember that flick? It was the Otter and Flounder reunion.)
