The Metacritic score is based on just eight reviews, one of which was a complete pan. The score will go up when more critics weigh in. I expect the Popcorn Meter to be quite high. It’s a crowd-pleasing film without cynicism, with good performances from both Kate and Wolvie.
Irrelevant but interesting: Michael Imperioli does a surprisingly great vocal and instrumental impersonation of Buddy Holly. He wears the nerdy Holly glasses, but doesn’t otherwise try to look like him. Imperioli’s hair is gray, for example! (Yes, he knows that Holly died at 22. That contributes to a plot point.)

Middle-of-the-road comedy filmed in Oregon. Three women scheme to pull off a heist.
At one point Jane Curtin strips to distract the crowd while the other two siphon off some money from a shopping mall promotional gimmick. I don’t know who did Curtin’s body doubling. Donna Garrett is the only woman listed as a stunt performer.
Jane herself did appear in a bra.
The good news, I guess, is that this nip-slip provided the only nudity in Susan Saint James’s career, and that’s no body double.
Shot on Super 8, presented in the unusual aspect ratio of 1966×1440, this 17-minute French film from Hubert Girard is virtually unknown. It does not appear on Claire’s IMDb page.
Jade and Lyam are two fugitives. Through the snow-covered mountains, they try to outrun their pursuers.
