An innocent Chicago food delivery boy, after having sex for money, finds himself involved in a series of murders that can be traced back to someone who was in his bed.
This is an ’80s-style exploitation film, right down to the presence of some actual porn actresses from that era. Sixty-three-year-old Ginger Lynn Allen and 67-year-old Nina Hartley join the naked youngsters by doffing their tops.
I can’t tell whether the film is trying to be funny. It certainly makes no attempt at realism, so perhaps the over-the-top elements are supposed to be comedic. More than anything, it reminds me of those early attempts to make porn films with actual plots and characters. If this were a 1970s hardcore movie, you might say, “Hey, that wasn’t bad for a porno. At least they made an effort.” But it isn’t hardcore, and the ’70s are long gone. Judged as an actual movie, it’s terrible — a real ordeal to get through.
Still, there is plenty of soft-core nudity, so I suppose we can be thankful for that and appreciate the film as an oasis in the nudity desert that is 2026. It’s not a very good oasis, but the thirsty don’t insist on Evian.
