I’m not going to spoil the season finale for you except to wonder how the hell Ashur is going to weasel his way out of this one. Remember that this series takes place within an alternate timeline created by Pluto, so the fact that Ashur is alive alters the events of history, beginning with his premature introduction of female gladiators (gladiatrices?) in the time of the first triumvirate, and concluding the season with an action by Ashur that is arguably the most significant possible alteration of Roman history.
Spartacus: House of Ashur has not yet been renewed for a second season, but the creator/showrunner says he has already written it, and is just waiting for the green light.
