Uncle Scoopy's world-weary musings about naked celebrities, sports, humor and other important, manly things.
Jackie van Beek wrote this oddball comedy film from New Zealand. She also stars in it. Nude Tuesday is performed in the Zøbftańlik tongue. You say you never heard of that language? That’s not surprising, because it doesn’t exist! That’s part of the quirkiness of the film. A suburban couple…
As the 2006 war rages in Lebanon, 13-year-old Sariah, her older sister and her mother try to lead a seemingly normal life, confined to their mountain home overlooking Beirut. With all the bizarre names for people and places, it reads like Game of Thrones meets Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings meets complete Comic-con gibberish. My eyes glazed over after a paragraph…
I was down at Sturgis in 2014, out at the gun range where you can fire automatic weapons. This tall smokin blonde bebops up and asks her friend what she should shoot. He had no clue so I offered advice. Try the HK-mp5. Very reliable and mellow. She unloaded the first mag and got a second, giggling like a schoolgirl.
She came over after and asked if she should try what I was shooting. Since I’m nuts I had to tell her definitely don’t try the Barret 50 BMG. I turned her on to a nice AR 15 and she was happy again.
It was that evening at the Buffalo Chip that Pretty Reckless came out and I realized that it was Taylor that I was giving gun advice to. I luv their tunes and she is some carnivorous, other-worldy creature as soon as she hits that stage. Hard to believe that she was a tiny little Catholic girl in “We Were Soldiers”. They grow up so quickly.
