Here are three more episodes of the telenovela. Unfortunately, they were filmed during the great Brazilian light bulb shortage, and very little can be seen. It’s been hell for all of Brazil. Satellite images of South America at night show only darkness where Brazil should be, ala North Korea. The clubs in Rio were candlelit for a while, but they ran out of candles, so now the partiers have to dance while holding their lighters aloft, like the audience at a rock concert. Since it’s now Brazilian winter, and Brazilian women only wear thongs, the lighters also help the dancers withstand the cold.

I don’t know much about this show, but on the other side it seems somewhat unusual for a daily soap to have this many nude scenes. Clearly they are making them hard to see, but perhaps it is a beginning to more nudity in daily telenovelas. That could bode well for the future as 1 season of these shows can have over 100 episodes.
I recently became aware of an old Brazilian series called Xica Da Silva that aired back in ’96 as it is now being run on some streaming services such as Roku and Vix. It had close to 200 episodes and it has some of the best scenes of naked actresses I’ve ever seen. Great in quality as well as quantity. That may be what it will take in the future for telenovelas to survive in this increasingly competitive streaming world.
It’s a different kind of soap opera it’s not a daily telenovela, it has fewer episodes, and it has a rating than regular daily telenovelas. And the sex scenes are poorly lit because the story takes place in an ancient period in the interior of the country. The cinematography is generally darker, not just the sex scenes.
