I’m sure Sydney had to have her arm twisted to do this scene. What I mean is, she had to be persuaded to only show one tit, she of course wanted to show both. She probably insisted on more money to show only one.
Of course, Opie is such a wimp when it comes to on screen nakedity.
There are multiple male full frontal nude scenes in this movie, including one from Jude Law. Male directors are not against nudity, they are against female nudity only.
Sydney Sweeney is perhaps the most overrated Hollywood celebrity or actress in history in terms of beauty. Like, she’s pretty, really hottest, etc., but if you take away her makeup and filters… She looks like a regular girl, a normal average blonde American (far from being a “goddess” or too gorgeous). You can clearly see this in movies where she’s without makeup or in real life when she’s also photographed without much editing or makeup.
I agree. I would add that her acting skills are also moderate. If she does not compensate for these flaws with nudity, she will quickly end up in B-movies, and this is very likely because the US and UK are generally against female nudity, so her main advantage, i.e. her body, will not be taken into account.

She is a good actress, yes, she may not be one of the best in Hollywood, but she is good. she is hot enough to attract people even if she doesn’t necessarily get naked, even if she is not that pretty. And stop being hysterical, there are still several nude scenes in American and British movies and series, this year there have already been some of famous actresses and there will probably be more by the end of the year. Miss Sweeney clearly understood the fame game and is not ashamed of getting naked to achieve it. I think Alexandra Daddario did it because it was useful at the time in True Detective, she said it helped her career to be more “serious” etc, that’s the only reason she did that scene, and then she stopped doing that kind of scene for a while.
I really hope this movie demonstrates the stupidity of leaving society behind and trying to wrest a living out of the harsh landscape of the Galapagos. Their children and grandchildren will only stay there if they are lied to extensively, both by commission and omission.
