Offbeat Estonian film. Original title: Must Auk
A comical triptych about residents in an apartment block district who long for a better life. When a black hole mysteriously appears in a lilac bush, they will have to face aliens, a giant spider, and an Austrian in breeches.
I have never heard of Jekaterina before, but the interwebs suggests that she’s a big deal in Estonia. Some list her as the third-best thing to happen in Estonia in the 21st century, right after electricity and tractors.
(I’m just kidding. Tallinn, the center of which has retained the medieval layout of its streets, is one of the most charming places in Europe.)

Now I want having to face an Austrian in breeches to become the hot new horror genre.
New? Hasn’t that always been one of the primary horror tropes? I think Lovecraft mentioned The Dread Franz more often than Cthulhu.
Dread Franz isn’t just known for horror. Yes, he played the horribly corrupt Sal Benedetto, but he also starred in Beverly Hills Buntz with Ambassador (and later Emperor) Londo Mollari. Plus, he’s so handsome he got to bang both Sharon Lawrence and Charlotte Ross, though unfortunately not at the same time.
