Shocker. She had just made a solid comeback as the villain in Gossip Girl, but she was known to have a serious liver issue.
Most people remember her from Buffy or Gossip Girl, or as Harriet the Spy, but I never saw those performances. But what I saw of her, I really enjoyed. I rarely like a child actor, but I think she nailed it in my favorite series, The Adventures of Pete and Pete. As a young adult, she was in one of my favorite comedies, Eurotrip.
Nudity?

When she was 20, she showed her bottom from a distance in Beautiful Ohio.
She had a luminous smile and I think you’re wrong about nudity. She took her top off in one of the deleted scenes in Eurotrip,:flashing her boobs by the roadside to try to hitch a lift and being completely ignored by European drivers who are used to nudity in TV ads. I had a DVD which included this but it got lost and it wasn’t in the version I bought a few years back. And her boobs were very nice too! The scene which made it into the movie was shot from behind her.

Just re-watched that ‘deleted’ scene you mentioned and it shows nothing.
Any exposure over the years she had, has come from premieres and photo shoots with see-throughs and that is the extent of it.
Shame about the chronic health issues, she was a cutie, rest in peace.

This was a shocker. Knew her from Buffy and Eurotrip. I knew she was in Gossip Girl. Seemed a bit different. I thought she grabbed your attention whenever she was on screen and left an impression. 39 is too young and not fair. RIP

I first saw her in Buffy. I first learned that she had died when I saw an article discussing how her death would affect the reboot. Very sad. I have seen Harriet The Spy referenced in most of the news reports about her death. However, she also starred in the Mattew Broderick film Inspector Gadget.
I also saw a report about the death of Gene Hackman, or as South Park dubbed him, “Hack-Man.” He, his wife, and their dog were all found dead. The report said foul play wasn’t suspected, but they didn’t all die of natural causes. At least, that’s unlikely. Hackman was 95, but his wife was much younger. I have heard of couples that love each other dying at almost the same time, but the dog, too?
The police report said their death was “suspicious.” I don’t have any expertise in this area, but it sounds like it might be a gas leak (if suicide can be ruled out).
