Low-budget sci-fi erotica from the USA
A struggling father sees an opportunity to get back on his feet when a sleazy tech developer tasks him with testing his newest product: Susan (Yvonne Emilie Thälker) a lifelike robot companion built to receive and enjoy sexual abuse. Initially somewhat reticent, Derek eventually starts participating in the tests in earnest, but Susan’s rapid development soon has him questioning the ethics of her existence and whether certain buried desires and inclinations should ever be expressed – even within the safe and legal parameters which he finds himself.
The above is quoted from the full review at Daily Dead.
I will add this to the nude scene of the year ballot. It will not win, but I have no doubt that it is one of the best nude performances of the year.

…and the award for Best Performance by a Clitoris goes to…
Ted Cruz?
This kind of lazy, phoned-in, just-depraved-enough writing gives sci-fi and erotica a bad name. Those tits, however, are top shelf. She should be on the ballot and in movies.
Have you seen it? I have no idea if I’d like it or not, but the reviews out there aren’t that bad especially considering it is low budget. Didn’t know if your comment was an informed one or just lazy and phoned-in itself.
Fair.
I haven’t seen it, I probably won’t, just the whole premise struck me as a rape-fantasy delivery vehicle. It could be fraught with penetrating insight; the whole summary and review could be fake-outs.
But like the man said, sewer rat might taste like pumpkin pie, but I wouldn’t know cos I’d never eat the filthy motherfucker.
The premise is fascinating and frightening. I don’t think a huge budget is required. At the least, it kind of reflects the evolution of mankind towards technology isolating us from each other (kids texting each other across the room). The rape-fantasy is disturbing with a corporate defense being “are we promoting abuse or giving a vent to prevent it?”
The premise of AI companions has been dealt with before (The Outer Limits – Valerie 23 (1995)), but I have also seen a documentary about people adopting non-AI Real Dolls as their life companions.
Eye of the beholder, man. You want to hunt it down and watch it, be my guest.
A huge budget (especially a huge CGI budget) has ruined more movies than it’s helped – moreso in scifi. For AI companions, you might like original recipe Twilight Zone, S1E7. Bonus: Ted Knight playing a dick, not unlike the one he would become as Ted Baxter.
It is a film with important ideas. Those ideas are not executed with a particularly high level of professionalism.
Still and all —
I admire anyone who takes a swing for the fences. In a way, movies like this are the celluloid equivalent of “Other Crap” – they operate on a shoestring and lack a slick veneer, but that doesn’t mean they have no contribution to make.
Or maybe it does. I can see the size of the trees, but can’t estimate the size of the forest because I’m in the middle of it. And after all, what do I know?
But I think that there are times when cheapjack, quick-buck efforts like this inspire somebody like Christopher Nolan to give the same ideas a better, more thoughtful airing.
More like Pink Lipped Susan amirite
It’s so rare that USA movie showed a whole vulva, so it’s surpised me.
Typically only Russian films and series that show vulvas with any frequency
Pretty sure this is low budget effort with no stars obviously, only difference between this & something from the 90s like the old Misty Mundae stuff is not shooting on crap VHS
