I flagged her down on Facebook 14 years ago, we ended up gabbing on the phone for about a month. Very witty, humorous, sexual, naturally cool, and uniquely charming lady. No Hollywood BS or narcissism, she’s down to earth. She was 52 then, I think, but she was still hot. She told me about filming this scene, said that the water was really bone-chilling. Prince was alive then and she said they remained friends and talked occasionally. I recall asking her about her counterpart Vanity – she didn’t seem to be much of a fan; the two were definitely not friends. She has a fiery temper though; when I pissed her off, she sent me some viciously nasty emails & unfriended me, and that was suddenly the end of the phone relationship.
I did call her for fun years later using a silly disguised Southern-dumb-guy accent, pretending to be an auto repair shop guy who had fixed her car, asking when she could pick it up. Obviously she figured out it was someone messing with her, but she didn’t recognize me, and I had her in stitches for about 20 minutes babbling about this repaired car nonsense. “How did you fix my car when I’m looking at it right now? What exactly was wrong with it? Where is your shop?” My responses were primarily stuff like, “It was your A frame, $1462 + tax, I’ll be here another hour or two if you can come pick it up tonight. We’re down here in Laurel Canyon next to the old Zappa house. Ask Moon for directions if you get lost.” Eventually we were laughing too hard and I had to hang up before my disguised voice slipped away. She might still think of that call, wondering who it was. Great lady, but her temper might be why she didn’t get married as far as I know. Doesn’t take constructive criticism well, lol – like all women.
According to IMdB, she’s been married and divorced twice.
I wonder if that was before or after I interacted with her. Regardless, it doesn’t surprise me since she’s a pretty independent lady, and can suddenly flare up to a Latina degree at things you wouldn’t expect to cause such a reaction. But still, I’d say she’s one of the most engaging people I ever talked with. She’s got amazing charm, and she was always so positive and fun; a fantastic listener too. She might be lacking in the talent dept though, since her acting & music careers quickly fizzled. I never did ask her what she does to earn a living. I’d guess Prince-related conventions and stuff like that.
Hot, and short enough to make Prince look not short.
I don’t think any female celebrity is THAT short, possible excepting Snooki (whatever happened to her?)
Prince and Dame Judi Dench are about the same height.
Now, I didn’t say she made him look *tall*. Yeah, he was as tall as my mom.
