Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me was the prequel to the series in the chronology of the story, but was produced after the series ended. Because of scheduling conflicts with several other projects, Lara Flynn Boyle was no longer playing the part of Donna, which brought Moira Kelly into the fold as a replacement.
Moira churned out quite a few topless scenes (never lower body) from 1992-1995, then withdrew from nudity for the rest of her career, which continues to this day. She has now fashioned kind of a Lacey Chabert career in family-oriented fare. If the film has Christmas in the title, there’s a good chance one of them is in it. (Chabert for Hallmark, Kelly for Lifetime).
Moira has her own meme, called Mandyville. Her character (Mandy) on The West Wing was simply dropped without explanation. Since that happened, people refer to a character dropped from a show without explanation as being “on the bus to Mandyville.” (Remember that Richie Cunningham once had an older brother? Three different actors essayed the role from the pilot until season two, but none of them resonated, nor did the character. The other characters just stopped mentioning him. In season 11, Howard comments that he’s proud of his two kids, indicating that Chuck never existed at all. Cue the Twilight Zone music.)
Fire Walk With Me (1992)
Chaplin (1992)
Daybreak (1993)
Little Odessa (1994)
The Tie That Binds (1995. Possibly no nudity)
Also in this series:
Part 4 covers Lara Flynn Boyle
Incidentally, when I post these collections to the Fun House, there are film clips for all of the entries.
