This is either lost media or my own personal Mandela effect, but when TV ads for The Beach aired there was always a great shot of Virginie’s rear end in a blue bikini as she stands up from the sand and walks toward the surf. Later, when I saw the movie on TV, the shot wasn’t there. Not a big deal, since trailers use footage not used in the final cut all the time. But then I couldn’t find the shot in any of the official trailers or, as the years went by, in any of the TV ads I found on YouTube. So did it ever really exist? Nobody cares but me. But I’ll keep looking.
