Do you remember “The rent is too damn high” guy? He was an obscure populist politician in New York City who had only one issue in his platform. I’m pretty sure you can guess what it was. His ticket was called the Rent Is Too Damn High Party. In Kenan Thompson’s SNL portrayal of him, no matter what question reporters asked him, whether about the Middle East or abortion, his response was some variant of “I don’t know, but I do know that the rent is too damn high.”
Well I have turned into that guy. No matter what question you ask me about a film or TV show, my response is always “The scene is too damn dark.’
Do I think 100 Years of Solitude is faithful to the novel? “I dunno, but I do know that the scenes are too damn dark.”

I’m right with you on this and may I add: zoom the fuck in. If you went to all the trouble to hire a hot actress and get her to take her clothes off, remember – no one streams these shows because they want to see the decor, the wallpaper, or some fancy-ass coffee-making utensils. Get in there!
