Looks to be a quality production. Do I hear that there is some Oscar buzz around this movie?
There was some Oscar buzz when Daniel Day Lewis was first cast as the raccoon, but it died down when he had to be hospitalized for rabies. Turns out that living with raccoons is not a healthy way to prepare for a role. They say that he also experienced some stomach ailments from eating out of dumpsters for three weeks.
Did they get Gary Busey for the lead? He’d barely have to act.
I would 100% go to see it if DDL played the raccoon.
