I don’t see Hegseth as a smart bet, since he is a white, male Christian. I can’t see Trump firing him unless Iran goes so far south that Trump needs a scapegoat. Lutnick is not a Christian, but he has some insulation because of his friendship with Trump, and I don’t think Trump really cares about religion other than as a tool to pander to his base. Faith requires the acknowledgement of a power higher than oneself, which Trump is not wont to do. If Jesus returned and criticized the President, Trump would call him a “low IQ God.”
Given Trump’s need for sycophancy, Gabbard could be in trouble. She is not an enthusiastic supporter of his Iran strategy, and she is an ethnic woman. That’s three strikes when Trump is the umpire.
Outside the cabinet:
The betting on Kash Patel is that he will be gone soon. If you want to bet on him getting nuked before the end of August, you would risk 98 cents to earn two cents! It is an even money wager that he will be out by the end of June
The actual word is that Patel and Gabbard are on final notice. You don’t embarrass Trump. They’re doing that. Lutnick is tough. He’d likely prefer to toss him, but he’s an Epstein guy. He throws him out, it looks like he’s punishing Epstein guys. Can’t have that.
Hegseth is safe simply because Trump loves him. He’s a psychopath, but he’s trump’s psychopath, and he tells Trump everything he wants to hear. War, tough, not woke, get rid of the darkies and the weaklings, etc etc. Being a warmongering looney is part of being a strong man dictator, and that’s all Trump wants. Hegseth enables that 100%. Iran is a disaster, but Trump doesn’t know that and thinks it’s all great.
I dunno, with this ongoing Iran disaster, how much longer can Hegseth possibly last? Whilst Trump is more than happy to lie, I don’t see him tolerating public embarrassment. Telling everyone that he’s disarmed Iran only to have them down US warplanes is an awkward contradiction – even for him. If Iran manages to capture that missing pilot, things are going to get real messy.
They aren’t telling Trump about the bad stuff. They show him a highlight reel of stuff he’ll like, even stuff from other wars, and he eats it up.

Trump, unlike Putin, surfs the internet all the time, especially FoxNews. He might not believe things that don’t fit into his version of reality, but he is not completely in the dark about what is going on around him.
As things go increasingly wrong for him, his pattern is to lash out in anger at everyone and everything, thus making everything even worse.
Things are not going to get better until he’s gone. We aren’t even close to hitting rock bottom yet.
I don’t know whether you are right. He has the deadly combination of pathological narcissism and pathological lying, so you never know which malady is controlling him at any given time. Does he really believe that he is the most popular president of all time (controlled by narcissism), or is he aware of reality, but choosing to lie about it (pathological lying)?
Does he read any reality-based internet sites like Reuters, or does he only surf to sites that praise and support him? If the latter, then maybe your comment, “He is not completely in the dark about what is going on around him” is incorrect.
Frankly I never know how to read him. You can usually really on the falsity of anything he claims, but it’s never clear why that is so.

Chavez-DeRemer sounds like a real winner. She’s not in the public eye like the rest of the fuck-up crew, probably because of her more obscure position outside DOD/law enforcement/finance, but she sounds like she fits right in:

Everything you say makes her sound like Trump. And there probably isn’t room for two Trumps in this game. Or maybe there is. I don’t know much about bridge, really.
I think she is probably the worst of the lot, but she kind of flies under the radar.
In general, Kash because he’s brown, and Tulsi because she’s brown and female. Those will be the next. He won’t fire Susie Wyles, and Lori Chavez-DeRemer isn’t public enough to distract from the Epstein files.
The category is “leaving the administration,” meaning by quitting, being fired, or (I suppose) dying. Wyles is not a candidate to be fired, but she’s on the list because there are rumors that she might quit. There are certain scoundrels and practices around Trump that she disapproves of.
She’s also going through treatment for breast cancer. That’s a pretty good reason to step down.
I don’t think any of them (except for maybe Wyles) would resign. Unless they think their political careers will benefit more from it. Hmm… so MAYBE Tulsi might resign, because she’s proven to be an opportunist, but I think her political career is over after this unless Trump manages to stay in power by cancelling elections or making the Democratic party illegal.
Tulsi is horrible because as a Democrat, she was continually challenging the party line, openly criticizing Obama and leadership for interfering in the Middle East and other things. But like JD Vance and Rubio, she is totally subservient to his command, and like Vance and Rubio, she is a hypocritical Republican shill who is only looking out for herself.
It seems to me that being critical of the President’s foibles is not only acceptable for his party members, but a mandate of conscience.
In the history of the United States, we have made some utterly stupid decisions about foreign intervention, but none more foolish than getting into the middle in Syria. Gabbard was 100% right on that issue, and Obama 100% wrong.

I had hopes for Tulsi. I thought she might be the chosen one, the one to bring balance to congress and have the ability to work with both sides. That she would stand up for what she thought was right, no matter what the party (any party) said. But no, she simply chose the dark side.
The reason her job is on the line is her failure to defend Trump’s Iran war. Her words have not directly opposed it, but they betray her true feelings.
If there are odds on who is a Russian plant in the administration, Tulsi’s might be even shorter than Trump’s.

I’d put Hegseth’s odds higher only because the Iran War is Trump’s most unpopular debacle yet, and has the capacity to get even worse (a captured US pilot, for starters).
One thing Trump doesn’t do is take accountability for fuckups. He’s gonna need a scapegoat for Iran, probably several.

If Iran captures the airman, look for trump to tweet something like “Iranian SAVAGES have captured our HEROIC American airman, and are no doubt TORTURING him as we speak. If he is not RELEASED IMMEDIATELY, I will have NO CHOICE but to RAMP UP our bombing campaign up to the NUCLEAR level.
