This is Tony Scott’s much-hyped horror film that turned out to be mediocre, despite a great cast and a lesbian sex scene between A-listers.
52/100 at Metacritic
59/100 at Rotten Tomatoes
Roger Ebert deemed it worthy of only 1.5 stars, and summed it up as follows:
The Hunger is an agonizingly bad vampire movie, circling around an exquisitely effective sex scene. Sorry, but that’s the way it is.
Susan Sarandon
Catherine Deneuve
Ann Magnuson
New 1080 film clips from Aesthete

Magnuson hosted a Goth Xmas party at Zebulon in Los Angeles, commemorating the 40th anniversary of The Hunger in December 2023.
Magnuson was hot back in the day, did she ever get more nude than here?
In the Caveman’s Valentine in a sex scene with Samuel L Jackson. She was older there.
It should be mandatory for the Ebert review to be printed in big letters on the box or fullscreen before you stream. That sex scene is smokin’ though.
Ebert was the OG Mr. Skin
Or, more precisely, I was the O.G. Mr. Skin, and Ebert was the O.G. Scoopy.
IIRC, the Deneuve nudity was a body double.
Nevertheless, I think this was the best Sarandon exposure of her career.
