African American? From IMDB: Claimed to be a descendant of the privateer, Captain William Kidd (b. 1645), who was hanged for piracy on 23 May 1701. Like Captain Kidd, Rae’s family was of Scottish stock.
One look at that actress & you can tell she had at least one black parent, altho I bet she “passed” as white back in the day, & was obviously the most gorgeous performer those lucky producers could get

I love the Andrea Thompson clip. Artistically, it may not be right, since it changes the tone of the scene, giving it a warmth that was probably not appropriate.

Pity about the vimeo links. Maybe you all have old vimeo accounts, but I don’t, and it does not allow watching mature videos without logging in. When I log in with Google, Vimeo wants me to make a selfie to prove I’m an adult.
Such trashy sites should be avoided when sharing videos.
You shouldn’t have to login.
It might be a country thing (if it’s outside the US) you could also try incognito mode on your browser or a free VPN.
I can click on all of these links, no login, no validation needed. I’ve heard ISPs are forcing users to prove their identities too, so might be what’s happening to you, I can’t say for sure.
I have no problem with those links, and I have no account with Vimeo. I just click the Other Crap link, and it leads to the Vimeo video, which plays when I click on it. There are login and join buttons at the top of the page, but I ignore them.
Your IP must create the problems you’re experiencing in some way. Either Vimeo blocks it, or it blocks Vimeo. It could be a country of origin problem, as another commenter suggested.
(Vimeo is one of the go-to resources for independent filmmakers to distribute their output to critics for screening, or to the world in general.)

The clip from 1938 was interesting. Looks like it’s set in a nudist colony, but they’ve framed everything to avoid lower frontal nudity. They must’ve had a “tits and ass only” requirement.
The Hays Code was in effect at that point. Lower frontal nudity might have been considered too sexual or something.
Incidentally, I think the no pubic hair rule in Japanese cinema evolved from the Hays Code, where the Japanese were subject to American standards after reconstruction and they didn’t evolve from it for decades.
Nudist camp movies have been around forever but bush & dicks was still a step too far to show in theatres until Times Square late 60s – only way you could get away with it was showing an uncut birth scene, like legendary “birds & bees” exploitation movie Mom & Dad
I think they allow pubes in photo books but is it true they still, even today, blur genitals in Japanese movies?
