AKA: Karigula – Monster der Liebe
Very European film.
Charly was a clown before he lost his talent for making people laugh. He tries unsuccessfully to take his own life by jumping off a bridge under which he sees Karla, a notorious serial murderer, disposing of her latest victim. Charly blackmails Karla: either she kills him or he betrays her to the police. Karla refuses, since she only kills those she loves, and has no feelings for the suicidal clown. Charly formulates a plan. He will make Karla laugh; she will then fall madly in love with him; she will therefore finally be able to kill him.
I know it sounds like it should be French, with Charly spending the entire film dressed like a mime, but it’s German.
I haven’t watched the film, but I assume it must have an O. Henry twist at the end because his plan has a massive flaw. He wanted to die because he could no longer make people laugh. If he is able to make her laugh, then he no longer has a reason to commit suicide. Unfortunately …

interesting body. Not surprised to learn from her wikipedia page she was a ballet dancer, though she’s been acting for twenty years.
That summary makes the film sound like one of the strangest I have recently heard about.
It’s par for the course for a German movie. It’ll probably get turned into a sitcom there. I wonder who they will cast in the US TV version?
First nude scene in 2000, good to see she is keeping up the practice in
her late 40s.
Nice ass
