You know her as the terrified wife in the Shining, and as a character in pretty much every Robert Altman movie for about a decade. She retired from acting in the early 2000s, but she made a one-time comeback appearance in 2023 as a grotesque backwoods character in The Forest Hills, the nostalgic cast of which also featured Edward Furlong
She did a full-body nude scene in Thieves Like Us (1974). Film clip here.
I guess this was taken on the set of Thieves Like Us:

And she wore a flimsy t-shirt in Nashville (1975)
Hollywood Reporter did an interesting article about her in 2021. (Excerpt below)
The locals are fond of Duvall, to them more of an eccentric aunt than faded movie star. They’re also protective of her — particularly since 2016, when Phil McGraw and his Dr. Phil crew descended on the town to shoot a disturbing interview with Duvall, during which she babbled free-associative nonsense and disclosed paranoid fantasies. Among them, she insisted her Popeye co-star Robin Williams, who died by suicide in 2014 after suffering from delusions, was still alive and “a shapeshifter.”

RIP. I actually became a fan not because of The Shining but because of Farie Tale Theatre and Popeye. Theres actually a topless photo of her supposedly from the Italian edition of Playboy. I also distinctly remember that in the fullscreen version of Thieves Like Us, there was a longer shot of her breast as she reclines in the tub.
There’s a topless photo of her in the December 1975 US edition of Playboy in “Sex Stars of 1975,” apparently from the same shoot as the aforementioned one. I’d post it, but I think that’s not allowed because of Playboy’s lawyers.
I added it to the main page. I hope Hef’s Ghost will forgive us in the spirit of honoring the late Ms. Duvall.
Thanks.
Small but memorable role in Annie Hall
