BONUS: Here is the hidden Phoebe Cates scene from the Paradise Blu-ray. Must see!
Phoebe, with two memorable nude scenes in 1982, is a symbol of the great flourishing, the 1982-83 era that ushered in the golden age of youthploitation, concurrent with the golden age of screen nudity. There were so many great nude scenes in each of those two years that it is difficult to pick the “best of the year.”

The most beautiful woman who ever lived in the best set of nude scenes ever.
I purchased this blu ray last week. There is an Easter egg with the nude scene of her taking off her clothes and getting in the water that has full daytime lighting with none of the shadows or sunset tones in it. Go to the audio selection portion of the menu. Push down until the FCE logo is selected. Press enter and enjoy. It turns out that a lot of discs from Fun City Editions have this style Easter egg in their menus.
Scoop, go forth and capture!
Ah, an Easter Egg in the original sense of the phrase. Most DVDs and Blu-rays don’t hide them anymore. Or maybe they never stopped hiding them, and I just never looked for them hard enough (or at all).
This also explains why deleted scenes were not listed under special features in the Blu-ray’s Amazon listing. I wanted to make sure I had the right one before I bought it. Thanks for the secret code.
Iconic. Bring me back to 1982.
great list! I think it coincides with with the advent of affordable VCRs and VHS take rentals.
the medium is the message
It also coincides with the start of cable tv in homes. The family of a school friend of mine had all the premium cable channels, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and that’s where we saw many of these movies. You were pretty much guaranteed to see these movies over and over on premium cable channels and then they put the Euro soft core movies like Emanuelle on at later at night. Many of the films listed above would conveniently be on after school ended. I believe that is the main reason these films were made, to help spread cable tv during the early years. They had seen pay satellite tv in the 70s have big success putting on a lot of movies with plenty of naked actresses and they just used the same formula.
Porky’s Nov 13, 1981 paved the way … 🙂 😍 🎅 🥳 😋 ❤️ 😛 🥰 carry on …
Not a great film as Willie Aames is a terrible lead actor with one of the worst haircuts ever. Phoebe though… mmm… I saw this in the 1990s when I was a teen as made my nights a joy along with the many softcore films of the times. That was a Golden Age of Late Night, Softcore Cinema. It’s never going to be like that ever. Kevin Kline wins in life. He got her. He has an Oscar for one of the best comedies ever. Two talented kids.
