The film begins with a quote from the focus of the Summarize Proust contest, the late, great Marcel Proust himself, or “Good Time Markie” as I like to call him, so you know it’s going to be more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Even from the simplist, the most realistic point of view, the countries which we long for occupy, at any given moment, a far larger place in our actual life than the country in which we happen to be.

An update of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, between night train and seaside resort, in the form of a cinema poem in relief.

It may be pretentious bullshit, but the nudity is, as they said in the old movies, just swell. It’s not quite the full monty, but maybe about a 97.3% monty.

In 2001, a French production team had less than four months to get a new show on the air: Loft Story, a French remake of the Big Brother format. In France, they are the first ones to produce a ‘reality TV’ show. Isabelle, a young television producer, discovers that she is about to get fired; her only salvation is to take the lead in this new show.

I think Louise Greggory is just playing an incidental character, but she certainly looks good with her shirt off.

After travelling around the world, Nina and Mathieu arrive on an island to spend midsummer with friends. As nature and time slowly take their place, they have to confront the emptiness of desire.

As you can tell from the description above, it’s an art film. It’s in black and while, with essentially no dialogue. The six minutes that I watched seemed like hours. I thank whatever god there may be that Defoe watched this so I didn’t have to – and that’s despite non-stop nudity to look at! At the beginning of the clip I thought my player was broken because there was no movement. That scene makes a Tarkovsky movie seem as zippy as a Roadrunner cartoon.

IMDb says it is in English, but I can’t confirm that because I never heard any words, and all the actors are Estonian (I think).

The final portion of the clip features all three actresses and three dudes running stark naked through the woods and plunging in for a swim, celebrating midsummer like good pagans. (Speaking of Tarkovsky! That scene seems to be influenced by Tarkovsky’s B&W masterpiece, Andrei Rublev.) That portion of the clip moves at normal speed. In fact I wish it were a bit slower so I could capture it without motion blur. There is plenty of full body nudity, but it’s dark and difficult to see.

This show is a dependable resource of beautiful Russian-speaking women.

“Mit Herz und Holly” is a new medical series on German ZDF.

For Dr. Katrin Herz, everyday life in Tangermünde is pure stress. The newly qualified doctor Dr. Holly Sass (Karoline Teska) comes from Berlin at just the right time.

I think Karoline may have shown a bit more than she intended to, although there is no definition in that area.
