Horror Western starring Ted McGinley.

You may not remember that name, but you would immediately recognize Ted McGinley if you could see pictures of him in the 1980s. He was the handsome, arrogant guy who ridiculed Booger and the boys back then. (Here he is in Revenge of the Nerds). He eventually was a regular on Happy Days, Love Boat and Married With Children.

He doesn’t look like that now. He looks like a grizzled old cowpoke, which is basically what he plays in this film, so that’s all good. Of course he’s pushing 70 years old, so his appearance isn’t surprising unless, like me, you haven’t thought about him in 40 years and still picture him as Stan Gable.

With the help of two bank robbers, a US Marshal sets out to rescue five prostitutes who have been abducted by a gang of desert-dwelling, otherworldly, monsters.

Supernatural thriller from Brazil. Original title: A Herança.

When he learns of his mother’s death, Thomas returns to Brazil with Beni, his partner, and is told he now owns a country house that used to belong to a grandmother he never met. Curious to connect with his family history, they visit the house and Thomas is welcomed by two aunts that treat him like a long-lost child. As Thomas becomes increasingly enchanted with the place, Beni begins to suspect that something lurks beneath the façade of a quiet country life.

Her photographer, however, could use some practice. She’s barely in the picture (check the original link).

This is a revenge thriller from the USA. Although this film has faded into obscurity, it was written by Paul Shrader, who is known for the scripts for Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and many other acclaimed films.

A former POW, Major Charles Rane, comes back from the Vietnam war and is given a number of gifts from his hometown because he is a war hero. Some greedy thugs decide that they want to steal a number of silver dollars from him. In the process they also manage to kill his wife and son and destroy his hand. The Major wants revenge so he enlists the help of his war buddy Johnny to meet the thugs in a final showdown.

I think this is the first time I have seen this film in HD.
