@Hanzo: EE countries are usually not rich and huge, so their film industries are mostly state supported, because their small markets (consider different languages) cannot support a big film industry.
And the state is unlikely to support high school sex movies.
In the US it’s different, because there is a huge single market in house and also there are the foreign markets too, so it’s much easier to make different kinds of movies. E.g. if a sex comedy is not hugely successful, it can still be profitable because of market size.
