I wonder if youtube made them censor it or if her team decided to. Youtube used to have no problem with nudity in music videos but it seems they have been becoming more strict so it wouldnt surprise me if they no longer allow it.
I’m pretty sure it’s Youtube’s fault – they either asked for the censorship, or demonitized the video or something – because the music video is still uncensored on Lorde’s website (I tried to post a link but it was eaten by the spam filter, but it’s easy to find on google)
Maybe Scoop can answer: did you get that screen shot from the youtube video? Maybe it was originally uploaded censored to youtube and the screen shot came from her website version.

I thought the YouTube version was uncensored when I first posted it. I was surprised to look at it a second time and see the red bars.
(But I’m just not sure.)
Some good news, while the music video on YouTube is now censored, the uncensored version of the music video is currently still watchable on the main page of her her official website.
