The episodes are inspired by real cases that the police have investigated in Ostrava over the past few years. The main characters of the series are a pair of seemingly very different criminologists. She is straightforward and rational, while he is explosive, moody and takes everything personally. She is selected as department head. He doesn’t mind that someone else leapfrogged over him, except that he doesn’t think she can do the job. Eventually they learn to complement each other professionally, and finally move toward a relationship that is … more than collegial.
