I thought I might send this picture of Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the holding company, one tit out. I have never seen this pic anywhere else. It’s from the Grateful Dead Family Album book from 1989. Photo credit is Jerilyn Lee Brandelius. It’s a photo of a photo. I’ll try to scan, and maybe it’ll look better.

Zooey Deschanel and Pink were at one point attached to star in a biopic. It was even rumored Zooey was gonna recreate the famous nude photoshoot of Janis of her wearing just a pearl necklace. I’m not sure if that was the same project that Brittany Murphy auditioned for as well.
Zooey Deschanel is a wild casting idea. Zooey can sing, but it’s hard for me to imagine her singing or acting like Janis Joplin. That seems like casting Michael Buble as Frank Zappa because they’re both singers.
