And mostly near-nude -ography. She didn’t do many clear nude scenes.
She was one of the most beautiful actresses of her time. (And all other times.) I suppose all of us older gents had eyes for her after seeing her in The Deep, a movie which was her personal wet t-shirt contest.
I wish more of these old movies were available in HD. A 4K release of Secrets would be especially welcome.
1968 – The Sweet Ride
1969 – The First Time
1970 – The Grasshopper
1971 – Secrets
1971 – The Mephisto Waltz
1975 – The Sunday Woman.
(I have always suspected body double, but I have no proof.)
1975 – The End of the Game
1977 – The Deep
1978 – The Greek Tycoon
1978 – Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe
1983 – Class
1987 – High Season
(She was in her mid 40s and kept everything shrouded in darkness.)
1990 Wild Orchid
2008 – Death in Love
(She was 63!)

Deception aka End Of The Game (1975) — I think Voight had more nudity than her but I saw it a long time ago. Trailer
Together (1979) aka Amo non amo — one I haven’t seen but the trailer has nudity from what seems like other actresses, but sounds promising.
I ordered a copy of The End of the Game on a foreign DVD. It looks awful, and is rated PG, but maybe I’ll get a few laughs out of it. I look forward to some deliciously hammy overacting from Robert Shaw.
There is also a German Blu-Ray, but it has been edited down to 91 minutes from the original 106, so I have no hope for that at all.
Interesting that it is rated PG. I actually saw it on tv with blurring of the naughty bits but the scene was fairly long and was in good lighting. I think Jackie had less blurring than Voight but the scene had potential w/o blurring. I hope the PG is not heavily edited. And “Together” seems to be lost in the void
People should know that PG meant something different in the 70s and early 80s. It certainly did not mean a kids movie, it specifically meant that parents should be concerned about some elements. When PG-13 was created, PG was changed to mean something more like a kid’s film. You can see a lot of Tanya Roberts completely nude in the PG rated Sheena which came up just shortly before PG-13 was instituted. Before PG-13, many PG movies would be considered films aimed at adults. That doesn’t really happen any more.
Yep, I knew that. The nudity in the older PG films, Sheena included, was mostly non sexual situations. The scene I am referring to was a love scene involving 2 adults nude in good lighting that lasted longer than the norm. I am relying on memory for this since it’s been a while but hopefully the version Scoop is getting is the best one and it is worth the effort.
Re: Secrets
The same is true of Night School, with Rachel Ward, another actress who was famously stingy with the flesh.
This is just another example of what Hollywood does to actresses. Bissett started with good nudity and then Hollywood tells her to put a stop to it. I remember when The Deep came out. Bissett was roundly attacked for appearing in a wet t-shirt by the US media. She had to basically apologize and even made the absurd claim that they had no idea it would look the way it did. She had to go thru the same treatment that Janet Jackson had to after the Super Bowl.
My father is quite old and to this day all he thinks of when he sees Bissett is she’s that actress that just goes around showing off her boobs. It’s not even true, but that’s the image that the US media will put out there to keep actresses in line. They will smear anyone’s reputation if they step out of line. Bissett’s biggest sin is that she was too beautiful and her tits were too amazing.
So Hollywood is a plot to…keep actress’s tits covered up? The fiends!!
I was 8 when The Deep came out, and my mom took me because it was by the same guy who wrote Jaws. It was one of the best things my mom ever did.
Was 12 when my dad brought me w/him to work on a Sat. There was a wide screen theater right next door. My dad had planes on the brain his (3) fav movies ~ Strategic Air Command, Spirit of St. Louis, The Blue Max. All the planes used in the Blue were made from scratch.
Long story short The Blue Max was the 1st movie I saw by myself. 😮 Ursula Andress xoxoxo and the planes were nice too. 😛
