It’s a dark scene, but it really has to be in the context of the film. It takes place outdoors at night. You could even argue that it would have been more realistic to have less light, since this character probably would have sought privacy by bathing by moonlight rather than putting herself on display in the glare of a lantern. She was not an exhibitionist, but a shy girl trying to get clean. If she had bathed in ambient light, those two peeping toms wouldn’t have been able to see jack.
But then again, neither would we.
Aye, there’s the rub.
I think it’s obvious that our ability to see her breasts is far more important than movie realism and the consistency of the character. I’d have been OK if she had bathed in full sunlight. Hell, more than OK. I would have preferred it. Screw the internal integrity of context and character. Bring on the boobs.
Let’s face it, if I had directed the scene, it would have looked more like this.
Except without the clothing.
That is one of the many reasons why nobody calls me to direct films.

Is Braun really playing Kaufman? He’s about a half-foot taller than him.
Yup. He is too tall, but he seems to be appropriately awkward.
It had originally been reported that he was to play Jim Henson, but that is clearly supposed to be Andy Kaufman, ready to play “dee music record.”
In the on-set video, you can see that Cousin Greg is more than a foot taller than the guy who plays Lorne Michaels. (Gabriel LaBelle is about 5’4″; Cousin Greg is 6’7″ or 6’8″.)
The actual height differential between Lorne and Andy was six inches.
