This is a new series featuring John Leguizamo as drug lord Pablo Escobar. Escobar’s son is one of the show’s creators, as well as an actor in the show. Available on Hulu and Disney+.

Based on Juan Pablo Escobar’s memoirs. Follows Pablo Escobar’s son raised in privilege by nannies who were actually his father’s hired killers, revisiting the drug lord’s story from childhood perspective. Criado por sicarios means “raised by assassins.”

Original title: Folichonneries

This is a French-Canadian film, mostly in French, that made the festival circuit last year. IMDb defines it as a comedy, which is not false, but is misleading. You won’t get a lot of laughs. I’d call it more of an all-too-realistic relationship study that has lighter moments and humorously awkward situations.

Catherine Chabot does some excellent nudity. She is not an especially young woman (38), and she is not glamorous, but she’s a natural performer with a very nice natural body, and I find her very appealing.

Offbeat horror film from South Africa. It doesn’t even seem to be a horror film until the final act.

Hannah, a culinary photographer, and her friend Evan share a passion for true crime content. When Evan suggests role playing their own true crime scenario involving a killer meal and the girl next door, things take a twisted turn.

This is an odd Israeli film with very little dialogue.

The official summary:

A woman divides her time between her job at the supermarket and taking care of her disabled mother. The mysterious murder of the head cashier at the supermarket, sends her on a journey revealing her deep longing for warmth and human connection.

Irit’s nude scene is eight minutes long, and is almost soundless. It may not be one the greatest nude scenes of all time, but it must be one of the best ever performed by a 65-year-old woman. She looks damned good for 65.

There is seemingly random male and female nudity and near-nudity throughout, but I don’t know why, and I don’t know who the characters are. The “unidentified” scene in the videos below comes out of nowhere without an explanation, then ends with no further clarification.

Horror film from the USA, AKA The House at Hallow End. It’s streaming on Prime and Paramount +

A new mother returns home and confronts a sinister force that threatens her baby and her sanity in this chilling tale of motherhood and madness.

Katie has appeared in many productions in the past 15 years (56 acting credits on IMDb), but I think this is her only nudity.

This B film is an American actioner. It is available for free on TUBI.

I don’t know who Mia Sydney is, but we recently saw Krista Hedins here when the Iceland native bared her generous bosom in Elite Target.

IMDb says this is a 2025 film, but the reality is that this must have been filmed at the same time in 2022 as Wrongful Death, because one supporting role is performed by Tom Sizemore, who died in March of 2023.

Both films were filmed in Croatia with a Croatian author, director and crew, and feature many of the same performers playing the same roles, so they really represent a single story presented in two parts. There is a sprinkling of Croatian actors filling some roles, but most of the key parts are filled by various have-face-will-travel actors from across the globe. In addition to Sizemore, the cast features Michael Paré, Eric Roberts, Bai Ling and Costas Mandylor.

So the films may have somehow time-traveled forward from 1990.

The films defy categorization into a specific genre. They are erotic thrillers and crime stories with strong overtones of gore horror and supernatural horror. (The evil mastermind, played by the director of the film, is subtly named Lou Cefair or Luzifer.) WD2 plays out like a hard-boiled detective film for the first 2/3 or so, then veers off into supernatural territory, but there’s even some comedy along the way, provided by Bai Ling as an insatiable nymphomaniac.

They are, in a nutshell, B movies. (Both films are rated 4.6 at IMDb.)

TRIVIA: according to IMDb’s “collaboration search,” Eric Roberts and Michael Paré, kings of the hired gun crowd, have now appeared together in 36 different projects.
