Geez, there are a lot of old ladies and fat women, some of whom didn’t even wear a swimsuit. I think I used to enjoy this issue back in the days when they featured slim young women who wore nothing but micro bikinis and body paint. Oh-oh! I think I just turned into one of those “back in my day” guys.

Come to think of it, I don’t want to see Martha Stewart in a swimsuit, so I’m OK with her covering every inch of flesh except her face and instep, and even those have probably been “‘shopped.” I’ll give Gayle King some props – I didn’t want to see her in swimsuits, and certainly not on the cover, but at least she did pose in beach clothing, unlike many of the vintage stars.

There are some highlights:

• Lori Harvey is gorgeous, as is Nina Agdal
• I’m not sure who Penny Lane is, but she’s one of the few who actually look good in swimsuits, which is to say she has an hourglass figure.

She seems like a name from the past, so I looked up her age, thinking she must look great at 45. Turns out she’s only 31! She was just 18 when she made her first Swimsuit Issue, and 19 when she first made the cover.

Although 30 is the new 70 for swimsuit models.

Either way, she is looking good.

The premise:

Yet another popcorn film!

The DP used lots of colored filters. I adjusted them (inexpertly) when they were too oppressive. That turned out to be a waste of my time, but – what the hell! This one was originally monochromatic in blue. I stripped out almost all of the color, then recolored it.

This one was bathed in dark red, like a darkroom. It annoyed me, so I tinkered with it. I lightened it up, then adjusted the colors.

The premise:

Tina, a young woman who has lost her way in life, rents a room from the vibrant Megi, thanks to whom she gradually starts to discover what it’s like to be free and to be able to make her own decisions without being reliant on men… Self-assured in its directorial style, this authentic film portrays millennials in contemporary Tbilisi and points to the influence of patriarchal thinking on Georgian society.

So much action-packed, non-stop fun that you’ll pee your pants rather than puttin’ it on pause.

This movie is not just a movie. It’s also her nudography. The whole shebang. The whole enchilada. The movie is a straight-to-drive-in bottom feeder, although the cast is not so bad. In addition to Lesley Ann, Martin Sheen and Jack Albertson have starring roles.

An elderly wanderer, a sexy young girl running away from home and a folk singer looking for stardom hitch-hike their way cross-country, trying to get to California.
