I was excited to hear that President Trump is open to the idea of being the next Pope. This would truly be a dark horse candidate, but I would ask the papal conclave and Catholic faithful to keep an open mind about this possibility!

Make the Holy Roman Empire Great Again!

He’s neither holy nor Roman but you know he’d sure love to be an Emperor.
Becoming Bishop of Rome would take care of the Roman part, and I’ve heard many people call him a hole.
In order to be elected pope, one must meet only three qualifications:
1. Male
2. Baptized Catholic
3. Single
He might or might not have been baptized a Catholic. He did start college at Fordham, but one need not be Catholic to go there.
There is the problem of the wife. Trump would have to ditch her.
Rather than divorcing Melania, he could suggest Pope Mel Gibson, a single Catholic male, as his surrogate.
I find it almost impossible to believe that Lindsey Graham actually wrote that post, or that it was issued by his staff. Has that been confirmed?
It is a measure of the absurdity of our times that I have to qualify “impossible” with “almost”. Nowadays, every day is Anything Can Happen Day.
I’m pretty sure he was joking.
You really don’t know these days. Watched Trump’s televised Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. A true sycophantic fest…comments like Graham’s would not have been out of place.
I always wonder how many of them are true believers, and how many know better but are sucking up.
I’ve seen people behave like this in corporate meetings as well, but in that case I actually knew the people involved, and knew that 100% of them were just saying what they needed to say to advance their careers.
Many CEOs are very smart guys who see through this kind of obvious tactic. The best leaders view it as counter-productive and time-wasting. A good leader wants his people to steer him back into the right direction if they know he’s headed astray.
That’s the thing – we’re way past the point of being able to distinguish between satire and reality. They’ve morphed into being the same thing. So was Graham kidding? Maybe. Would it surprise me if he wasn’t? Nope. Either is just as likely as the other.
To add on to my comment, remember that the MAGA crowd literally and unironically believe that Trump was sent by God. In their delusional way of thinking, why *wouldn’t* a guy sent by God be a great choice for Pope?
He is indeed the second cumin’🙏
So it shall be written, so it shall be done …
The Antichrist wants to be pope. This is End Of Days shit right here.
Having seen the way Melania looks at him, he won’t have to worry about the celibacy thing going forward.
I hate the Catholic Church (13 years of Catholic school) as much as I hate Trump; they belong together
Are you including kindergarten? My Catholic grade school didn’t have kindergarten so went to a public kindergarten. 😮 There were 3 of us boys who got in trouble for climbing a tree. We were the only Catholics. 😉
