This is a bittersweet comedy from France.
Mathias takes his best friend Philippe on a bicycle road trip from Paris to Istanbul. Together they will retrace the journey that Youri, his son, had undertaken before tragically disappearing. An epic that they will experience with tenderness, humor and emotion.
This interesting project is something very close to, but not quite, a documentary. The events occurred as pictured, but the men did not bring along a cameraman on their bicycle journey. Later, playing themselves, they recreated the highlights of their journey for the purpose of this film. Some other characters (but not all) were played by actors, like Adriane Gradziel, who is pictured below.
