Antony and Cleopatra?
That’s it!
The best bowler in history, ‘Square Earl’ Anthony. Left handed, he threw a ball with such spin that it nearly went in the gutter every time, but hooked right into the pocket. Guy was a strike machine and a stunning converter of splits. Fierce competitor. If you met him in the finals, forget it; he thrived on pressure. Routinely took on the heaviest power bowlers like Mark Roth & Marshall Holman, and usually won. Died in 2001, fell down a flight of stairs.
