Comments, clips and collages by Johnny Moronic
Time to upgrade the quality of the original videos that I made from this 1975 movie spin-off of a popular TV show at the time. The original videos I made from this had a timecode across it and was off a fairly ordinary VHS rip. Since then a DVD of the movie and the entire series has been released but is not easy or cheap to get. Watching the movie (again?), it seems to have been made right in the middle of the show’s run and plays with that broad 70s comedy that’s dated pretty horrendously and is fairly unfunny plus the plot is largely non-existent. I’ve seen a few episodes of the show and it doesn’t play as broad as this movie does so I’m guessing they were going for that Alvin Purple/Number 96 audience.
