I haven’t thought about her in years. She looks good at 43.

After a couple of years of inactivity, she has suddenly re-emerged in a new TV film and a new series.

Mystery/thriller series from Netflix Spain. AKA “La última noche en Tremor.” Peter Harper is a prestigious soundtrack composer who, after a traumatic divorce, takes refuge in a remote corner of the Irish coast to regain inspiration. Secluded on a vast, secluded beach, the Tremore Beach house seems like the right…
Haven’t seen her since 24, wouldn’t have recognised her.
(She looks good though)
What, 2 years ago? (’24). Since age 24? (2006). Last in “24” in 2010 (15 years ago, age 28). To me she does look recognizable, but she also looks 40.
Dating hockey players is kinda a buzz-kill for me. “Sloppy seconds” is, um, unflattering.
The film & the TV show are somewhere betwixt mediocre & crappy. Her support character in the TV show (an old-fashioned “non-modern” uncomplicated romance) is 2nd tier, ie, 2 leads, 3 main support cast, 3 supplementary support cast. She’s pretty, is passing for much younger, but y’know, 40’s 40. (I’m supposing non-modern is fan code for no queers.)
I’m generally not into romance. The odd exception might be Casablanca, but was “complicated”. The recent Off Campus was well-done, but routine, ie, so predictable. Even pretty newcomer Ella Bright got a lot less pretty in the last 3 episodes. That’s the thing about beauty: it’s fragile.
Why would some dude’s misogynistic ‘sloppy seconds’ comments make her unflattering to you? Unless, of course, you agree with that kind of thinking?
You are a dipshit.
You seem like a weird like fucker.
Oh, in this regard, I’m surely a dipshit & a weird little fucker. The sloppy seconds thing is little more than that some dude took her before she got taken by some other dude. Which I don’t like being reminded of because she’s out of reach by me. I’m fine with it being left vague, but when it gets shoved in my face, yeah, it’s a reminder of what this admiring beauty from afar is all about. An unwelcome reminder.
Look, I’m not the only person in the world who may fantasize about falling in love with a screen idol, or a character in a romance book.
Eh, I guess I’d like to set one other detail in context for the record: I think good taste in men is a thing that a lot of women possess but it seems to be in short supply. Guys who would taunt a later boyfriend with a “sloppy seconds” kind of comment shows the woman to possibly have bad judgement, & maybe to be a bit what we used to call “easy.” I’d prefer beauty to enable a woman to be hard-to-get. But it often seems to work in exactly the opposite way.
I’m a year or 2 younger than she is. I just read this week she’s playing the mom in something or other. I felt ancient.
Wouldn’t mind getting a look at em even now.
I’ll be honest; when I glanced at the photo my first thought was “Wow, Kate Winslet’s had some work done.”
I didn’t notice that, but now that you mention it …
