The premise: J-Lo plays a strict CEO who does everything by the book, including a rigid anti-fraternization policy for all employees. The conflict arises when she hires a sexy lawyer and starts fuckin’ him like there’s no tomorrow.
I didn’t watch the whole film because … see the plot summary above … and because in the limited time we are given on this sphere, there are really only so many tomorrows. If this is your kind of film, it’s probably not a bad one.
I did fast forward to this birth scene. Of course, this is just done with special effects for comic impact, but Betty, J-Lo, and Brett Goldstein really “delivered” this scene. The scene is not worth watching for the fake nudity (although the fact that they did it with a smooth camera pan was impressive), but it is worth watching for the laughs. Betty refused to “push” until J-Lo confessed that Goldstein fucked her brains out, which she did, in those exact words!
Betty Gilpin is a national treasure.
I only watched the first part. Meet cute and have a lot of implied sex isn’t enough to make me care. After your post I think I will either skip or fast forward through the birth scene. They are not giving me much cause to care how it ends.
