Brian, God only knows what we’ll do without you
R.I.P. Brian Wilson Paul McCartney,a guy who knows a thing or two about songwriting, has publicly opined that “God Only Knows,” as sung by Brian’s brother Carl, is “the most perfect song ever written.” That’s pretty high praise for a song that was the B side on “Wouldn’t It Be…
Two more nostalgic collages – Sarah Miles
The imaging legend that is Brainscan assembled these looks at Sarah Miles in The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing The “man” in the title was played by Burt Reynolds, who is probably remembered as a loquacious man, quick with a quip. Uncharacteristically, he plays it completely straight here as a…
40 Dumb Crimes and the Even Dumber Criminals Who Got Caught Doing Them
I researched a smattering of these entertaining stories, and they are not urban legends, no matter how silly they sound. For example, number 7 is real, even though it sounds fake. Here is the actual story: ‘SMUGLER’ License Plate Leads To Arrest Of Jasmin Klair For Smuggling Cocaine At Smuggler’s…

I do enjoy a good chop-socky fight so I watched ’em all, but I gotta say… Their #4 (Tony Jaa in Ong Bak 3) should NOT be on the list.

I was pretty disappointed with #4.
One that reliably pops into my head is Donnie Yen vs Collin Chou in Flashpoint. Great punchin’, kickin’ and…. grapplin’!
I would have somehow added Alice Tseng in Ninja: The Final Duel
The alley fight in THEY LIVE was pretty epic
Not including the fight scene between Jackie Chan & Benny Urquidez in Wheels on Meals is criminal
For me it was Bruce vs Kareem in Game of Death. As I recall, Bruce was trying to make his way somewhere past a bunch of villains, and suddenly Kareem pops out as maybe the last guy, with that massive height and those gangly but powerful legs. A deadly force; the polar opposite of his silly character in Airplane.
