Every once in a while TUBI comes up with a real treasure.
There was an alternate version of The Brain That Wouldn’t Die (1962) that was intended for international release.
While Adele Lamont wore a bikini to pose for photographers in the theatrical American release …
She posed nude with a sheet in the international version.
Adele Lamont was an exceptionally beautiful woman. You can see her body above. Here’s a head shot
In addition to the nude scene, the alternate version retains other excised elements like a “cat fight” between strippers, and some additional gore.
Here is the full uncensored version on TUBI (free with ads). The nude scene can be found between 54:14 and 55:26
I hope some cappers get this, since this isn’t available on TUBI outside North America.
I added a capture of the nude scene only.
It’s ironic that the version intended for every place but North America can only be seen in North America.
Thank you!
Merde sacree!
The Brain That Wouldn’t Die Meets The Rack That Wouldn’t Quit
I saw this movie on TV when I was a little kid
The scene where the creature ripped off Kurt’s arm…
Freaked me the HELL out!
Here’s the American version ‘colorized’
