Two updates on old Canadian films with explicit nude scenes:
In Toronto Stories from 2008, actor-filmmaker Sook Yin-Lee (Shortbus, Paying for It) goes nude twice. The second time is a full frontal scene with bush, the first is even better imo. It cuts from her getting her vagina waxed to her standing in front of a mirror at home, completely bottomless, pulling up her shirt, andstaring at her freshly waxed vagina in bright, clear lighting. I’ve only ever seen it online in low quality and I own in on DVD in slightly higher quality. However, I just noticed that you can rent it in Canada on Youtube in 1080p and it looks even more clear and spectacular. I don’t know how to rip and share online, though.
In the 2002 film Punch, there is a scene in which actress Sonja Bennett greets a guy by sitting on a bed fully bottomless, legs slightly spread. They have a full conversation with her vagina on display. It has also only ever been online or DVD in lower quality, however, the internet is telling me it is streaming in HD on Prime and SD on Tubi in the US. I’m not in the US, so I can’t verify.
Thought you or someone else may be able to get these both online.
I can do some of that from the back issues of The Fun House, aka the greatest thing in the history of the internet, and for that matter, in all of human existence. Punch has been available in 1080hd for a long time. The one thing I don’t have is Toronto Stories in HD. It’s only accessible in Canada. Any help out there?
Before I get to the meat of the response … one observation. The director who got Sonja Bennett to show her coochie on camera in Punch was her father, Guy Bennett. Her film character has daddy issues. Projection, much? (Many years ago, I reviewed the film and expressed my surprise that I liked it so much.)

Have you tried yt-dlp? It works fine with Windows. Lot’s of vids explaining it.
Don’t I have to be able to access the vid to download it? When I search for it, it doesn’t appear in the results. When I force the URL, it immediately switches to “not available in your region.”
There has to be somebody in Canada who can do it, or somebody who has a VPN that can spoof a Canadian IP.
I have “Shortbus” on DVD. Great film BTW.

Audiences outside of Canada may not know that Sook Yin-Lee was a prominent broadcaster on Canada’s public network, the CBC, at the time that she decided to accept the role in Shortbus. The film has absolutely explicit nudity and unsimulated sex, very much including her. The matter caused a bit of controversy at the time – albeit she already had a public and private persona that was pretty ‘out there’. But the controversy blew over and she continued right on with her career. Good for her.
I just caught your observation about Guy Bennett being the director and directing his daughter completely bottomless with her legs open in Punch (2002). That’s crazy, I’m curious what the conversations on set were like. The director, I presume, has to see the film’s final product to give it a sign-off right?
I had only recently heard about the Vikings creator, Michael Hirst, directing the entire show and casting both his daughters, Maude Hirst and Georgia Hirst nude in that.
I’m curious if this has happened before. I think Serge Gainsbourg and Charlotte Gainsbourg in Charlotte For Ever might be in the same lane.
