Ok, I’m having enough trouble with a tropical island that has alpine peaks…but it’s in a lake in Switzerland!? First, that really stretches my suspension of disbelief. Second, it sounds like something a lunatic real estate developer would dream up and try to sell to the very, very gullible. Jeez, why not say it’s on an oasis in the Gaza Strip or something?
Ohhhh….
The Alpine peaks are visible from the islands, but are not on them.
The Brissago Islands have a bizarre sub-tropical micro-climate although they are truly on a lake in Switzerland.
They do indeed have cacti, palm trees, orchids, etc.
Wow. Once again, truth is stranger than fiction. I should have guessed that, given the times we’re living in. Thanks!
Her grand-père Jean-Paul was a legend in French cinema. Not just in the Nouvelle Vague, but also with his action-adventure comedies afterwards. I rank him above Delon, although he had fewer purely dramatic roles.
